Welcome to EDISC

Overview

EDISC, short for EUROSPINE Diploma in Interprofessional Spine Care, is a unique education initiative aimed at developing and empowering spine care professionals of all specialties. 

The course provides health care practitioners engaged in non-surgical and surgical care with an interprofessional, harmonised and evidence-based curriculum on patient-centred collaborative care. EDISC was developed by an interprofessional team of global experts, with guidance from medical education specialists. 

The course promotes collaborative care using evidence-based best practice to improve patient outcomes.

Target Audience

EDISC is open to non-surgical and surgical spine care practicioners and other spine care professionals who graduated as clinicians from a recognised institution (i.e. professional school or university). 

This can include professionals including primary care physicians and surgeons involved in spine are, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, nursing practitioners, naprapaths and others.

At least two years of clinical experience is recommended but all new graduates are encouraged to register.

How to obtain the EDISC Diploma

1. Register for the EDISC Course
2. Complete EDISC Modules 1-7 in no more than 3 years
3. Apply for the EDISC Diploma
